solutions > Interactve Overlay Case Study..
-
Development of a interactive overlay module for OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography).
-
Each OCT system consists of an optical engine, application-specific scanner, and software interface.. The software interface provides intuitive and flexible control over the imaging system, combined with sophisticated image management and post-processing.
-
The interactive overlay module is a part of the software interface that allows the user to interactively drill-down and examine specific parts of the image.
-
The images can be displayed either in 2-D or 3D captured from the optical engine. The application needs to be very optimal in speed as close to 200 images might be displayed per a second.
-
Imaging Overlay System - The image processing module runs on Windows XP machines configured with the Direct X 9.0c software. The image processing module is developed using the Direct3D API of the DirectX which provides sophisticated capabilities for interfacing with the graphics accelerator card.
-
The development was done in C++ on the Microsoft Visual C++ Studio .NET 2003.
-
Will facilitate the end user to view the required portions of the image.
-
Will be able to do more focused analysis on the images.
-
Will provide greater control over the OCT process.
