Project Overview

  • Development of a real estate portal http://www.800openhome.com.
  • 800openhome is a premium toll-free lead capture system designed for the real estate professionals.
  • The portal provides a 24 hour property information that can be accessed by customers. A toll free number can be called by customers to access the property information and the agents can be connected live using the 'live-connect' capability of the portal.
  • Portal provides a payment gateway service too so that agents can be charged based on the properties listed by the agent. The payment can be made by various methods like credit cards, online checks etc.

Technology Overview -

  • Portal - The portal is developed using ASP 2.0. Rich user experience is provided by blending the content through ASP 2.0 controls along with flash media content.
  • Interactive Voice Capability - The IVR capability is provided using Asterisk version 1.2. Asterisk is a open source implementation of a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) and provides features of - voice mail, interactive voice response (phone menus) and automatic call distribution.
  • Payment gateway - The payment gateway uses the Verisign payment gateway hook to provide payment through all major credit cards, online checks etc.

Deployment Environment

  • User Interface - Portal is deployed on Windows 2003 servers running IIS 6.0.
  • Interactive Voice Capability - Asterisk is deployed on RHEL AS v 4.0 cluster running Asterisk v 1.2.
  • Database - MYSQL version 5.0 on the Windows 2003 server hosts the data related to the portal.
  • Integration - The Asterisk Gateway interface is implemented in Java and uses JDK 1.4 for accessing the external data as part of the dial plan configurations.
  • Payment gateway - Verisign payment gateway API wrapped in C# reusable payment library so that billing process is integrated seamlessly with the portal.

  • Using the 'live-connect', 'find-me/follow-me' features, agent can be connected by phone with a prospective buyer.
  • 800openhome uses Advanced Number Identification (ANI) mechanism to capture the caller id and instant notifications are sent to the agent by e-mail or using text messages about the prospective buyer.
